INTERFAITH FURNISHINGS NEEDS YOUR TIME
Interfaith Furnishings has been assisting Morris County neighbors-in-need with donated furniture for the last 13 years. To date, we have helped over 1500 individual/ families with donated used furniture. We are making a significant difference in the lives of many families in our community. We have made deliveries to apartments that have little or no furniture. When we leave, they often have bedroom furniture, couches, kitchen table and chairs, lamps, desks, etc. They are so appreciative for us helping them get a new start or a better life.
Churches in the area volunteer once per quarter to either pick up or deliver used furniture to Morris County residents. Resurrection has been involved since the beginning with many of the original volunteers still involved. We need additional volunteers to assist us. We are looking for younger workers: teenagers and their dads, thirty – forty year olds, and people who are looking for a little exercise while they are serving others. It is also an excellent way for some of our confirmation candidates to earn service hours. The commitment is only once every three months— for half a day; 4 times per year. That’s it.
Our next volunteer date is October 19. Please consider volunteering and help us assist those around us. Contact Ed Antonucci, at anton729@aol.com, or 862 219 1542 for more information.
