2025 Souper Bowl of Caring-Tackle Hunger Drive:
The weekend of February 8th - 9th we are participating in “Tackle Hunger - Souper Bowl of Caring”, a national effort to combat hunger that came out of a simple prayer from a single youth group over 30 years ago. . . “Lord, even as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us be mindful of those without a bowl of soup to eat.” Collection soup pots will be located in the Narthex after each Mass for donations, along with walking through the pancake breakfast. In addition, you may support this drive via WeShare, our online donation platform. 100% of the funds collected will be split between the Faith Kitchen in Dover and the Interfaith Food Pantry Network of Morris County to support their work to combat food insecurity in our local area. Thank you for your generous participation!
On-Going Programs: Cooking and serving hot lunches at Faith Kitchen in Dover several Fridays each month and hot dinners at Homeless Solutions twice a month; also supporting Randolph’s Meals-On-Wheels program with delivery volunteers; and collecting non-perishable items for the food pantry at Hope House and the Homeless Solutions shelter.
Click HERE for a list of non-perishable food items that are always needed by local food banks. Items can be left in the Samaritans basket in the lower lobby; and we will get donated items to a local food pantry.

Samaritans also coordinates our RaiseRight program (formerly known as ShopWithScrip), where you can purchase shopping cards for a wide variety of companies. For every shopping card purchased, Samaritans receives a rebate that is used to help those in need. The percentage for the rebate varies by vendor. You are able to spend the full value of your purchase when using any of these shopping cards. The RaiseRight table in the Narthex is available around Masses to purchase cards from inventory, to order cards for pick up the following weekend, or to pick up prior orders. Physical shopping cards usually available from inventory include Shoprite, ACME, WEIS, Stop & Shop, Dunkin, Panera, Starbucks, Amazon, QuickChek, Wawa, and VISA cards (with no activation fee), among others. Many more vendors are available for order. If there's a particular card you'd like available in inventory, feel free to contact Tammy. In addition to physical gift cards, some vendors offer e-cards, as well as a RELOAD option in some cases. The program includes a couple of different payment options. There is an online portal, as well as a mobile app for those who prefer to do as much as possible electronically. Orders can be shipped directly to you, if you prefer, for some vendors. It is a way to help others while making your regular purchases.
